I remember all too tell because just before I started to read this book my "Edward" left me in what felt like much the same way.. There's a reason I can't even look at this book let alone read it again, even though things are all better now for me..

aw i can't imagine how hard it would have been to read the book if that had happened!
i felt bad enough for bella, i can't imagine how i'd feel if i had to go through that myself.

Agreed.

I was more angry than anything when Edward left. He really just ditched her... and took his whole family with him. They were her friends, too and he just up and left her with hardly a good bye.
I thought her reaction to it all was pretty... exaggerated. I mean, months and months of being a zombie... and
When Edward left she had no one to turn to. It goes to show what happens when you are so wrapped up in your boyfriend you forget about your friends.
I have to say, though... as much as I was annoyed with Edward... the story was dull without him and the Cullens. When Alice made her surprise return, I wanted to cheer. Seriously, each time Bella heard that voice in her head, I got so happy. It made me realize how much I missed Edward, too.

^ I did cheer lol

I would say that it was exaggerated but it did show how much she did really need him and how much she really didn't hang out with other people, her friends at school like Angela, to be exact. The book, as it was around Bella's life, was boring without the Cullen's, less action i'd say. He also had to take all of his family because she would still remember him if one of them stayed; and as everyone knows he didn't want that at the time.

When Edward left I was so sad Crying or Very sad But then I got so angry at him! Yes, he had a justified reason for leaving her but he never thought of the consecquences. And on top of that, he treated her as if she were four years old and couldn't take care of herself! I guess he thought he was being selfless but in truth, he was being selfish because he took her friends (the cullens), left her without warning, and left her alone. I was so pissed at Edward for most of that book. But I wanted to go in the book and slap Bella. Ok, fine, she was sad and distraght....the whole thing. But she never did anything to help herself. I think she was being a bit of a brat, letting Charlie freak out, letting her (very small amount of) friends worry including the person she claims to be her best friend, her mom, worry as well. I was thinking about it and I realized that she didn't prove Edward wrong, she did act like a four year old.

But then......when she met Jake, things got better. She had someone to confide in and be her friend and help her out so she could come back to the real world. But you know, she never really did. Her mind was never off of Edward and she didn't hang out with anybody except Jake. That goes to show that she wasn't back to normal. Wait, what normal person hears her ex-boyfriend in her head when she does dangerous stuff? Then again, what normal person runs around with vampires and werewolves?

And her whole thing with doing those stunts just to hear his voice again, I truely loved that. As stupid and dangerous as it was, I loved it! Just goes to show that Edward is truely her soulmate.

Anyway.....rant over. Eugh, half that stuff doesn't make sense.

^ I agree with most of that. And, yeah, I liked how she would hear his voice warning her. But I don't think it showed he was her soulmate... I think it should have shown that she was hoping that somewhere, where ever he was, Edward was worrying about her. Which it did, in a way.
The way Arabella was carrying on, she was never going to fully get over Edward. She was even willing to settle for Jacob. But Edward was always her first choice and that wouldn't have been fair or kind to Jacob.

I was mad and sad! I couldn't believe Edward was leaving! When i read that part I threw the book on the floor and screamed! I was so mad! And knowing he was going to be gone i knew I wasn't going to want to read it anymore but I did.
